This Privacy Policy explains what ClipTop (“ClipTop”, “we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using ClipTop you agree to this policy.

1. What we collect

• Account info — your email and name, provided when you sign up.
• Your content — the video files you upload, links you paste, and the projects and videos you create.
• Usage data — basic information about how you use the app (e.g. videos created), used to run and improve the service and enforce plan limits.
• Payment info — handled by Stripe. We receive your subscription status and a customer reference, but we never see or store your full card details.
• Feedback — anything you send us through the in-app feedback form.

2. How we use it

• To provide the service — process, transcribe, rank, and render your footage into videos;
• To manage your account, subscription, and plan limits;
• To provide support and respond to your feedback;
• To secure the service and prevent abuse;
• To improve ClipTop.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Service providers we share data with

To run ClipTop we rely on trusted third-party processors. Your data is shared with them only as needed to provide the service:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage (your account and projects).
• Stripe — payment processing and subscriptions.
• Anthropic (Claude) and Groq — AI processing: your footage’s frames and audio/transcript are sent to these providers so the video can be ranked and captioned.
• Railway — hosting and compute.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security practices. We don’t use your content to train our own models, and we ask our AI providers not to train on it via their API.

4. Data retention

We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual projects at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data — see below. Some records may be retained where required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons.

• Access the personal information we hold about you;
• Correct or update your account details;
• Delete your account and content;
• Export your projects.

6. Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to run the app. We don’t use them for third-party advertising.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your content safe.

8. Children

ClipTop is not intended for anyone under 13 (or the age of digital consent where you live). We don’t knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
